My mother is deceased but grew up on Compton Crescent (30's/40's) and I would like to know when it was built and any history you would be able to offer. (Their address was 76 Compton Crescent).

Any info anyone could provide would be most appreciated.

I am looking to find out where Ridge Row c1840 would have been, I have seen there was a Ridge Mill around Harehills area and wondered if ridge row was near this.

Also would anyone happen to know what this occupation would mean 'del*er' (*looks like an o) ?

I am seeking information about the desendants of my aunt Eva Fish (nee Newton) and her husband George Thomas Fish who lived at 70, Bayswater Grove until at least 1928, when Eva died.

Eva and George had three children; Dorothy, born 1917 and twins Harry and Marjorie born 1920. All three children were christened at St Aiden's church, Harehills.

I believe that George was a coal merchant, a business that he ran for many years from Bayswater Grove.

After Eva's death at the age of 41, George could have re-married.

What happened to their three children Dorothy, Harry and Marjorie? Did they have children of their own? Does this branch of my family still reside in Harehills or elsewhere in Leeds?

Any information will be most welcome.
